Stage 7: Winning moves from Fred Wright at Levico Terme

A difficult stage today with 1,500 metres of elevation difference, passing from Val di Sole to Valsugana in Trentino. From Dimaro Folgarida to Levico Terme, this was the last chance for the sprinters, who didn’t manage to sweep to victory, however. It was actually Fred Wright (Great Britain National Team) who took the win at the last minute, at the finish line. The top positions of the genral placement haven’t changed. The Giro D’Italia Under 23 continues with the eighth stage on Saturday 22nd June in Veneto, departing from Ursus Spa in Rosà (Vi) and finishing in Falcade (Bl) after three mountain grands prix.
