Stage 5: Round two for Colombian Andres Camilo Ardila atop Passo Maniva

The fifth stage of the race from Sorbolo Mezzani (Pr) to Passo Maniva (Bs) reinforces the Enel Maglia Rosa’s fantastic condition, as Colombian Andres Camilo Ardila comes back for seconds, taking victory in front of the Locando Bonardi hotel on Maniva’s peak, having conquered last stage at Monte Amiata, and once again sweeps first place in the classification. In fact, the South American’s stole the show, with four Colombians ranking in the top four. Alessandro Covi was the first Italian, being fifth to cross the finishing line.
The Giro d’Italia Under 23 continues tomorrow, Thursday, 20th June, with the 6th part leaving and arriving in Aprica, an which has already been dubbed the ‘double Mortirolo’.
